The Massage East Therapists

Massage East Therapists are state and nationally certified (NCTMB). Each has extensive training and experience in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage along with further training in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including those that incorporate both Eastern and Western medical practices.

At Massage East your therapist will work with you to tailor a treatment plan that fits your individual needs. It has been our experience that when people achieve a state of deep relaxation their treatment sessions are more effective and they heal faster. So when it comes to your body, you are the boss, and whether you are coming to us for one session or a series of sessions, our goal is your optimal health and satisfaction.

Genia Daniels

Genia graduated from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork (2009) in Madison Wisconsin. Trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Jin Shin Do, Neuromuscular Massage, Lymphatic, and Reiki. Genia believes Massage Therapy is an essential and integral part of creating and maintaining mind/body balance. Her clients appreciate her ability to work deeply when needed. Genia is a member of Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

Tracy Kastner

Tracy graduated from the Arizona School of Integrative Studies (1997). Trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi, John Barnes’ Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage (2nd and 3rd trimester only), Reiki, Reflexology, Quantum Touch, La Stone Therapy, Raindrop Therapy, and Paraffin hand and foot dips. Tracy has helped her clients find relief from a number of different ailments including sciatica, tension headaches, carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and Parkinson’s disease. If desired, Tracy can incorporate the use of essential oils.

Chris Kloppenberg

Chris graduated from the Chicago School of Massage (2000). Chris has training in Swedish Relaxation, Pregnancy Massage (Prego Pillow), Sports Massage, and Therapeutic Deep Tissue. She has helped her clients with chronic issues including fibromyalgia, MS, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, sports injuries and stress. Chris enjoys working one on one in a therapeutic environment. She believes Massage Therapy is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise, good nutrition, and mindfulness.

Kira Milanich

Kira is the owner of Massage East. She graduated from A SpiriTouch Institute (1998) in Madison Wisconsin. She is trained in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Trigger Point Therapy. Kira is also a Certified Yoga Instructor which helps deepen her understanding of body mechanics and how postural imbalances create stress on the body. Kira’s clients are grateful for her ability to mix and blend modalities that enable them to walk away from a session with a greater sense of balance, ease and harmony. Kira is a member of the Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals (ABMP).

Chuck Nendza

Chuck graduated from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage (2003) in Madison Wisconsin. Over the years Chuck has studied many diverse modalities including Swedish Relaxation, Lymphatic, Neuromuscular Massage, Hot Rock, Prenatal Massage, Polarity, Lomi-Lomi, Tui-Na, Jin Shin Do, and Reflexology. He has found great success in blending the most effective techniques in order to create a cohesive balance of mental and physical relaxation.

Ajay Rao

Ajay graduated from Northern Lights School of Massage Therapy (2000) in Minneapolis Minnesota. In addition to being a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist, Ajay is trained in Trigger Point Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, Soft Tissue Release, Joint Mobilization, Sports Massage, Swedish, CranioSacral Therapy and Myofascial Massage. Ajay began additional course work in Orthopedic Massage in 2006. His training includes the treatment of injuries due to trauma or repetitive use, as well as pain and fatigue from postural distortions. He believes his success in addressing low back and neck pain is achieved by combining deep relaxation with a focused massage.

Donna Sarafin

Donna graduated from Desert Institute of the Healing Arts (1994) in Tucson Arizona. She has extensive experience in working with soft tissue, as well as specialized training in Corrective Exercises, Sports Massage, Stretching and Joint Mobilization, Ayurvedic Massage, Prenatal, Lomi-Lomi, Reiki, CranioSacral Therapy, Zero Balancing, Neuromuscular Massage, and Jin Shin Do. As a Certified Yoga Instructor, Donna can work with athletes, prenatal clients, or individuals in varying stages of illness/recuperation. Donna combines Eastern and Western traditions to provide her clients with an overall integrated bodywork approach to body, mind and spirit.

Karen Streif

Karen graduated from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy (2003) in Madison Wisconsin. In addition to being Certified in Precision (tm) Neuromuscular Therapy, Karen has additional training in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Massage, Prenatal Massage (first and second trimester),Thai Massage and Reiki. Karen works with people of all age groups and physical restrictions. Karen is adept at in accurately assessing a person’s current physical situation and creating an atmosphere of healing that enables her to find the most effective way to treat each individual according to their needs. Karen believes relaxation is the first step to relieving stress and creating overall good health.

Terri Yapp

Terri graduated from A SpiriTouch Institute (2001) in Madison Wisconsin. Trained in Swedish Relaxation, Soft Tissue Release, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Swe-Thai Massage, Raindrop Therapy, Herbal Linen Balls, Herbal Body Wraps, Aromatherapy, Hot Rocks and Lymphatic Massage, Terri has worked with professional athletes as well as cancer patients during their recovery. She works the soft tissue by stretching and using pressure point work on the body in different positions using the massage table, chair, or floor mat. Working with the body in different positions, enables her to achieve the client’s goals of pain management, increased range of motion, tension relief, and relaxation. Terri believes the power of touch can make a profound difference in quality of a person’s life.
